Thanks for the birthday gift!

Haeley was so excited when she got a birthday card from her Granny Holmes. Inside she got a gift card to target and today I finally convinced her to use it.(she has a hard time spending her own money) She bought this puppy that does a lot of things a real puppy does. It sleeps, plays with you, barks, rolls over. She has always wanted a puppy that she can hold and Jaxon is just to big for her so this was the best she was going to get. She absolutely loves it and wanted to thank Granny for this perfect gift. We love you!

Haeleys birthday party

I took her and a few of her friends to see "up". It was really good although not quite sure if it was worth the extra money to see it in 3d. Nothing really jumped out at you. Overall though, it was a very cute show. Following the movie we went back to the house for presents and ice cream sundaes. I am so glad that she has such good friends that could help make this day special for her.

This is why I love being a Mom

Lexi has a cold and was deciding she didnt feel all that great tonight,so I told her to go and lay down. My girlfriend then called and asked if I wanted to join her and a few others friends for dinner, I gladly accepted. I told Lexi I was leaving and she fell apart. Her tummy started hurting she knew she had a fever (which she didnt) and was all nervous about me leaving her. I then debated even going, I dont like to leave my kids unhappy but andrew then reassured me that she would be fine. I did end up going and this note was sitting by my bed side table when I got home.

The second line is a little hard to read but it says "I did not have a tummy ach"

She knows I have a little bit of anxiety when I am not at there side when they are sick.
Moments like these remind me how much I love being a mother!

Baseball Games

Well we have decided to try baseball for a bit and see how the kids enjoy it. Andrew and Lexi went on a date to see the padres play and she really enjoyed it. She said it was more fun than Disneyland. We then decided to take everybody to see the storms play. Lexi won free tickets for a reading marathon at school and we had a buy one seat get one free coupon, so overall it cost us 9$ to get all of us in to watch the game. Cheap fun family outing!

NYC

I don't even know where to begin on our trip to new york, it was amazing!
The first day I got my hair done and we attempted to see the empire state building but it was to cloudy to see all the way up.
The second day we walked around central park and went to the top of the rockafeller center and viewed all of new york. It was beautiful! We also went to a wax museum.
The third day we went to liberty Island and Ellis Island. It was freezing cold that day so liberty Island was quick. We also went and toured the world trade center. It was really cool to see all the stuff but kind of sad too. So many people lost there loved ones.
The fourth day we went and did a lot of shopping and then later went to phantom of the opera on broadway. Following the show Andrew took me out to dinner to a very nice resturant. I opened the menu and just about had a heart attack, it was a little pricy but he wanted to do something special because I dont really get out much. I will say though, it was the best stake I have ever had.
The last day was just relaxed. We took a walk across the brooklyn bridge, did last minute shopping and then off to the airport. That was a fun experience in itself. We had done so well with the subway system all week and then on our way to the airport, we took the right subway just going the opposite direction. So it ended up taking us an hour longer and almost missing our flight.
We had a great time. Here are some of the many millions of photos we took
